The opportunity
Effective, efficient lighting is a key factor in any bottling and manufacturing operation. Since 1948, Kalil Bottling has served clients across Arizona, and at its Tucson facility the existing lighting was aging, uneven, and costly to run and maintain across a 24/7 operation. Kalil brought in Relumination to modernize the lighting and cut operating cost.
What we did
Relumination and Kalil Bottling collaborated on a full lighting design and upgrade covering the warehouse, production, and office areas as well as the entire site exterior. Energy-efficient LEDs and controls replaced the old fixtures, and because the plant runs around the clock, the improved light levels and site safety were felt immediately while the management team captured major savings on energy and maintenance.
The result
The upgrade saves about $74,941 a year and 490,000 kWh, with $51,386 in utility incentives and a 2.28-year payback.
