The opportunity
In wine and spirits distribution, accuracy and speed depend on being able to see clearly, and dull, outdated lighting quietly drives up mistakes and slows the floor. At its Yuma, AZ facility, Canyon Distributing was running older fixtures that were dim, uneven, and expensive to operate. The team came to Relumination to raise light levels and safety while lowering energy cost.
What we did
Relumination worked side by side with Canyon Distributing to design a new lighting layout for the Yuma facility, replacing the existing fixtures with energy-efficient LEDs that deliver brighter, more uniform light across the pick and storage areas. The result was a safer, more productive environment and a noticeably lower lighting bill.
The result
The upgrade saves about $9,587 a year and 65,137 kWh, with $11,794 in utility incentives and a 1.78-year payback.
